How to register, step by step
- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and open the JEE (Main) 2027 Session-1 registration link.
- Click New Candidate Registration and read the instructions.
- Complete Aadhaar authentication; check the details it fills in.
- Fill the form, choose your paper (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Planning) and four exam cities.
- Upload the photo, signature and documents in the sizes above.
- Pay the fee online and download the confirmation page. Keep it until results.
Mistakes that waste a correction
- Aadhaar name or date of birth different from your Class 10 record. Fix Aadhaar first.
- Paying on a link shared on WhatsApp instead of the official site.
- Choosing exam cities far from home because you did not read the city list.
- Leaving the fee for the last night, when payment gateways get slow.
Eligibility in brief
Students who passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam recently, or are appearing in 2027, can apply. NTA has set no age limit in recent years. For admission to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes through JoSAA, you also need 75% in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) or a place in the top 20 percentile of your board. Confirm all of this in the Information Bulletin.
