Donation Records & Receipts for Trusts, Temples and NGOs

DAM can help organise contribution records and donation receipts. A receipt acknowledges a recorded contribution; it does not by itself establish that a donor qualifies for a tax deduction.

What the verified receipt workflow supports

The current app code includes contribution amount, date, receipt number, contributor name, payment mode and collection purpose in the donation receipt. It can include configured organisation details and a signatory image. Where the registered-trust option is enabled and an 80G registration number is entered, the receipt can show the configured trust name, registration number and trust PAN.

Keep organisation and donor details distinct

The trust PAN printed in the receipt configuration is the organisation’s PAN. Do not assume this is a validated donor PAN field or a complete tax-reporting dataset. Check the actual fields and exports available in your version before collecting or promising any filing information.

Review each contribution and receipt

1. Confirm the collection purpose, contributor name, amount and payment method.
2. Match the entry to the actual cash, bank or UPI receipt.
3. Review the receipt preview and configured organisation details before sharing.
4. Reconcile totals with cash and bank records. Keep pledges distinct from money actually received.

Tax eligibility and filing are separate checks

This guide does not promise automatic Form 10BD filing, a portal-ready one-click export, validated donor identification or guaranteed tax deductions. Confirm the requirements for your organisation and each contribution with a qualified adviser and the official Income Tax portal. Verify current feature availability with DAM support.
