In the event, hospitality, and catering industries across India, business operations run entirely on bookings months in advance. When a client visits a banquet hall, wedding lawn, or photography studio, they pay an initial token amount (known as Bayana or Advance), followed by staged payments, and a final balance payment on or before the event date.

The Biggest Operational Risk: Managing booking dates on physical diaries leads to double-booking nightmares, untracked cash advances, and forgotten payment deadlines before event setup.

How to Record an Event Booking in DAM (Step-by-Step)

Open the DAM app, tap the search bar (or ⌘K on web) and type new booking, then pick New Booking.

  1. Select or add the Customer Party with their mobile number.
  2. Add services: for example Banquet Hall Rental (₹75,000) + Catering 300 Pax (₹1,50,000) = Total ₹2,25,000.
  3. Enter the Advance Received (say ₹50,000 via UPI) and the event date.
  4. DAM records the remaining balance (₹1,75,000) on its own and produces an instant WhatsApp booking voucher.
  5. As the event nears, collect the balance with Receive Money against the same party, and send a reminder from the booking.
